Bayonne Hometown Fair Next Weekend: Performers, Food, Vendors, Rides, Musical Entertainment – Fun For Your Whole Family!

Bayonne Hometown Fair Set for Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9

The 2024 Bayonne Hometown Fair will take place on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9. This will be the tenth anniversary of the current version of the Hometown Fair. The fair will be running from 21st Street to 26th Street along Broadway.  On Saturday, June 8, the fair’s hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Sunday, June 9, the fair’s hours will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. The 2024 fair will feature food, rides, vendors, and musical entertainment.  Mayor Jimmy Davis said, “The Bayonne Hometown Fair Association, other local organizations, businesses, entertainers, and volunteers are working to make sure that the 2024 fair is a fun and successful event.”

The fair will be presented by the Hometown Fair Association in collaboration with the City of Bayonne and Mayor Jimmy Davis.

Amusements will include inflatable rides (bounce houses) between 25th and 26th Streets. The inflatable rides, which will be free, are sponsored by the Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ).

The main stage for the fair will be set up on East 23rd Street by Church Lane. A second performance space, the community stage, will be set up on the East side of Broadway between 22nd and 23rd Streets. A variety of musicians and other entertainers will perform at both stages.

On Saturday, June 8, at the main stage, 23rd Street and Church Lane, the following are scheduled: Opening Ceremony with M.C. George Orlando, 11:00-11:30 a.m.; Artists Avenue, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Original Mixed Company, 1:00-2:00 p.m.; Southend Band, 3:00-4:00 p.m.; Break Time Band, 5:00-6:00 p.m.; and Bennett Rhoad Band, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

On Saturday, June 8, at the community stage, 21st Street and Broadway, the following are performing: D.J. Pastiche, 11:00-11:30 a.m.; Wild Side Zoo, 12:00 noon-1:00 p.m.; Cinderella and Jasmine, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; Bayonne Steppers, 3:30-4:00 p.m.; Artists Avenue, 4:30-5:30 p.m.; HEDYD4U Choir, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

On Sunday, May 9, at the main stage, 23rd Street and Church Lane, the following are scheduled: Opening with M.C. George Orlando, 12:00 noon-12:30 p.m.; Gerry Perlinski and Lost Romance, 1:00-2:00 p.m.; Rotary Club of Bayonne, 2:00-3:00 p.m.; and She Said No With Mark Byrnes, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

On Sunday, May 9, at the community stage, 21st Street and Broadway, the following are performing: Opening with D.J. Pastiche, 12:00 noon-12:15 p.m.; Mr. Magico, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Ariel and Mirabel, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; Kahuna and Company, 3:00-4:00 p.m.; and Impact Ministries Mike Vilardo, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Eighty-eight vendors and organizations will take part in the fair, with tables along Broadway from 21st Street to 25th Street. The tables will feature food, merchandise, information about community organizations, and give-aways of various promotional items.

The 902 Brewery will operate a beer garden at the fair.

The Hometown Fair Association would like to thank the event’s numerous sponsors for their support. The generosity of the sponsors makes the fair possible.

There is no rain date for the fair. In the event of rain, every effort will be made to continue or resume the fair on the scheduled days, as circumstances may permit.

The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station closest to the fair is located at 22nd Street and Avenue E. Mayor Davis said, “I urge our friends from neighboring communities to take advantage of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system to come to the fair and enjoy what Bayonne has to offer.”

No Parking signs will be posted as needed around the Broadway corridor to create space for the fair from 21st Street to 26th Street. That portion of Broadway will be closed to traffic from 6:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 8, through 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 9.
