Real religion is the transformation of anxiety into laughter.” ~Alan Watts

Are you a coffee drinker? Do you require a cup or three of java first thing in the morning to be productive, energetic, and maybe not homicidal!? Does coffee perhaps bother your stomach or give you those awful anxiety-laden jitters? What if there was something as effective as coffee sans the negative ramifications of consuming it? What if instead of negatives, you’d be drinking something that would give you balanced lucid energy would also bless you with other positives; such as:

·         Helping to prevent cancer

·         Supplying a powerful antioxidant

·         Improving Cardiovascular health

·         Detoxifying the body

·         Providing protection against infections

·         Strengthening the immune system

·         Helping to control Type 2 diabetes

·         Relaxing you while simultaneously invigorating you

Above are but a few of the numerous physiological and cognitive benefits of drinking Matcha green Tea; Ceremonial-grade Matcha is preferred. The aforementioned positives of drinking the tea are but a few of the many, the actual Ceremony contains within it a plethora of other incredibly beneficial variables.

After I put my Personal Training client through their warm-up/stretching, circuits, strength and conditioning, and cool-down, I invite them to join me for a Matcha Tea Ceremony. I call this part of my Mind-Body-Connecting regiment: ‘Manifestation Station’

During Manifestation Station, the first “homework” assignment which I give to my client is to choose (5) words that they wish to embody within themselves in four months’ time! I ask my clients to sit cross-legged on the floor, breathe flowingly, imagine each of the words which they’ve chosen marinating and saturating their be-ing, and imagine themselves in four months’ time as the new them! They are NOW (in four months’ time) totally new Be-ings, with those (5) words molding them into what they wish to be aesthetically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

For instance, if they had chosen the word “STRONG”, I ask them to not only concentrate on the quintessence of what “strong” may mean to them but, also divide that word into numerous sub-divisions. NOW, “strong” can mean one of infinite things. “STRONG” could mean: excelling in athletics, benching/lifting substantial weights, being emotionally strong, being resilient, and so forth. As my clients get more skillful with their meditations, they begin to infuse the powerful characteristics of these wonderful words into their bodies. Everything should and does compliment everything else! Perhaps my client’s (5) words are: “STRONG”, “TALLER”, “NIMBLE”, “QUICKER” and “BETTER”.

The stronger one is—the better it is that their form, gait, breathing, core, confidence and muscle groups are—which means they’ll straighten their postures and be taller. The taller one seems in their respective perception—the more nimble it is that their movements will be. The more nimble one’s movements are—the quicker it is that they’ll be cognitively, physically, and intuitively. Reality is maneuverable and malleable; once my clients fathom this—their reality inherently gets better! These are but some examples, “taller” might not be for everyone, some may wish to be more compact and sturdy; eye of the beholder, you see!

So, how can we work on elucidating our minds to expedite our station-to-station manifestation? We are all on a journey of Exponential, Perpetual, Infinite and Cumulative growth; “EPIC”, as I like to acronym it as. What is preventing all of us from being the Be-ings that we truly wish to be? Perhaps, we simply do not have the wherewithal to imagine the apex of our Heart’s truest intention? Perhaps we lack discipline? Perhaps we need to start off with a Blessed cup o’ Matcha!

There’s an entire ritual to the Ritual of sitting with and drinking Matcha; I won’t go into the smaller details. I’ll stick to the basics: there’s the emerald-colored Matcha in all of its awesomeness, a little wooden lacrosse stick-looking instrument which is used to scoop the Matcha into one’s drinking cup/bowl, and a bamboo whisking tool. The process of making the Matcha is totally simple; the process of drinking the Matcha is what separates the dilettantes from the Samurai!

To grasp the Art of sipping some splendiferous Matcha, I’d like to define for you the word “Chi”…

Chi:  the circulating life energy that in Chinese philosophy is thought to be inherent in all things; in traditional Chinese medicine the balance of negative and positive forms in the body is believed to be essential for good health.

Do you ever see People in the park doing Tai-Chi? They’re moving in skillful patterns; they’re moving the Energy around! Chi = Energy! Energy = YOU! The more apt it is that one is in balancing and moving the Chi around—their Energy—the more fluid it is that they are in materializing their goals into fruition!

The more reverence it is that One has for every molecule oscillating around them—the more it is that they savor the Matcha; the more it is that one savors the Matcha—the clearer it is that their heads are; the clearer it is that one’s head is—the more defined and powerful it is that their thoughts become; the more defined and powerful that their thoughts become—the more rhythmic it is that the molecules oscillating out-and-about them behave; the better it is that the molecules behave—the easier it is to manipulate time, space, sense, everything and all!

Take a sip or two… see what you want to see… blink… sip… see… blink… sip… see… repeat as many times as you have the ability to! Infinity knows no limits; it’d be illogical for it to know of any. You are Infinity, sipping itself in little doses. Kanpai, Samurai!
